FiiO DM13 Portable Hifi Bluetooth Stereo CD Player 3.5mm/4.4mm

I love CDs. I am one of those people who bought the original, square SONY Discman not too long after it came out (like $500 bucks in 1985! That was stupid money! What was I thinking?). I now have a used Tascam rack mount player running into a little Schiit MODI DAC for my stereo. It sounds great, but I’ve missed having a portable. Enjoying the great sound with my FiiO CP-13 Cassette player and after reading favorable reviews of the DM13. I got myself one.I’m not disappointed. I had to get the transparent one because I loved watching the disc spinning around in my old Discman while hearing such clean sound come out. This thing nails it. My HIFIMAN Sundara headphones are not very sensitive—I use a headphone amp to get usable volume because my receiver’s phones output can’t cut it—but this little player can do it just fine. And that was just single-ended. Apparently running balanced to the headphones increases power. As I don’t have a balanced anything in my stereo setup I’ll just have to wonder for now.Bluetooth functionality was a mystery until this morning. The little manual is very vague on how to pair, but the video from the manufacturer cleared it right up. You tap the power button to cycle through the various output schemes. Like all Bluetooth, If you can’t pair it’s probably because you left something else on. I have found Bluetooth notorious for pairing with the thing I least expect.I'm using it right now to play a new cd via bluetooth to my stereo. Great!

Truly great product.. takes up little space fits very well in any corner of the house.. connected to a DAC amplifier makes you want to listen to all the CDs again.. great deal for the price it costs. The shipping was perfect, super protective packaging.

Wow what a great little cd player. Quality construction. Plays great with headphones on bluetooth and wired. It’s also connects to my smsl da-9 via bluetooth which is a fantastic result. Have to say thanks too aliexpress for the great discount on black friday. Delivery was fast and very well packaged. Top result. For the audition, I used MDR-1A with a balanced connection, and I felt the power and good sound quality that cannot be compared to the CD WALKMAN I used quite a while ago. However, I felt it was a mysterious specification that could only be stopped by turning off the power because there was no stop button. Since there was no CD player around me, it seemed useful at times.

I bought the FIIO DM13 to be my go-to portable CD player since it’s hard to enjoy my music at home without interruptions. I own hundreds of CDs from classical to heavy metaland this player handles them all beautifully.The build quality is impressive: solid and well-crafted, not cheap or flimsy like some old ’90s portables. The sound quality is superb Ican even hear subtle details from the artists, especially in classical recordings. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening to Roger Waters’ This Is Not a Drill and Lorde’s Pure Heroine on a clear Virgin CD.For the first time in years, I found myself playing six classical CDs albums over just three days, that’s how engaging this player is. I chose the translucent top version (worth the extra cost), and watching the disc spin adds a cool vibe.I haven’t tested the Bluetooth and recording features yet, but this will be my go-to CD player, the FIIO DM13 is outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone who still loves the magic of physical CDs.WISH: (1) indicator light when charging, (2) dedicated button to stop CD spinning rather than pressing power and end button. I still give it five stars for build quality and sound output.

I bought the white version with a transparent lid. As you can see in the photo, it comes with a protective film that you can apply after removing the plastic that is attached. That's right, maybe you might be confused that it already comes with a pre-applied protector but that's not correct. Otherwise, it works very well, the sound is excellent. Not like those cheap $20 discs. This feels like quality. Furthermore, the design is beautiful. I recommend it so that you can bring your CDs back to life or save a bit of money on payment platforms and use your records.

A portable cd that can be used in ‘desktop mode’. Bought to be a transport for my small digital amplifier plus desktop speaker set-up. A 3.5 mm plug to rca adapter is provided for coaxial digital but you’ll need a mini toslink cable if you want to use the optical digital output. Looks very well made, with a metal chassis. Played 3 discs so far and the sound is good. Usb c to a cable provided for power. You’ll need a power adapter. Shipping was quick and it was adequately packed. I’m happy with the purchase.

Superb earphone, I was a bit worried about the shipping but it arrived very quickly and was well-packaged. The special version with glass is not available in France, so I got it here and I'm very happy (watching the CD spin is magical). Everything works very well, there are quite a few ports and options (I also updated the firmware via USB key). It is really portable (of course, it's still a CD player so not as practical as a purely digital player or smartphone), I moved it in all directions and the playback works (I was also worried about this point). Thank you to Fiio for offering this kind of products and also for not being too expensive (compared to the usual Hi-fi prices). PS: The cover is not included but is quite practical even though a leather case with a strap would be appreciated.

Excellent quality of materials, meets the specifications. I will use it with the 3.5 mm LO/OPT output to a car audio DSP, and also use it in a home audio receiver with Bluetooth headphones.

Great little cd player. Bluetooth is hit or miss, but i use it in desktop mode connected to my amp. Shipped fast.
